It has been an amazing summer. One of the most incredible, most memorable summers. Ever.
Why?
Did we go on any vacations?
Any roadtrips?
Reunions?
Crazy adventures?
No.
But we stayed home from the hospital. ALLLLL summer long.
We made lots of memories, and we took lots of walks.
We laughed, cuddled, and slept in a lot.
We had plenty of places to be, and plenty of days with nowhere to be.
We defied odds, and we did things we didn't dare to dream we would do together.
We were a family, and it was wonderful.
I haven't blogged much this summer, and it is honestly because we have been incredibly busy.
See for yourself.
Dozens of doctors appointments. Some tests. A couple of illnesses. But even more good days. And not always on the calendar were some of the fun events. We partied with other special needs families at several events this summer. This was the summer I dreamed I would have as a mom, and I wish it never had to end.
And I can't wait to take some time in the near future to share snapshots of these cherishable memories our family has been blessed to make this summer. Stay tuned.
